kappa vs pi phi what's the difference?

Any Kappa woman I've ever known is super-secretive when asked questions about their org. Kappas don't admit they ARE Kappas, they use euphemisms or quickly change the subject. Is it really so embarrassing to be a Kappa, or is it considered uncouth to state that you are one?
Pi Phi women I know, on the other hand, you would never know they have money. They are kind, never talking down to you even if they do not choose to extend you a bid.
Those are the differences I have experienced between women in those two groups.
