honestly the whole thing is just a little sad. girls who were initiated into dg arent allowed to re-rush anywhere so now theyre trying to make this a thing so they can still have some aspect of the sorority they joined, which i guess makes sense bc im sure they loved DG, but this isnt going to end well and will take away the greek experience from some new girls. its really not going to be relevant after bid day because honestly most people in greek life dont care about this stuff (especially not past freshman year). guys dont care about sorority rankings at all frankly (like if youre smoking hot an choose a "bottom tier" guys are still gonna like you, and if youre not that cute but in a top tier that doesnt really help you) so the whole butterfly thing doesnt matter and will slowly die off or get completely shut down and ruin any chance DG had of ever coming back when nationals hears about it

Butterfly effect is the old DG girls who WERENT initiated that did not wanna re rush because they chose DG for a reason, not dphie or sdt or what not. They’re whole college experience was taken away from them from “being with boys on big little night” so this is their way to get the what’s left of a “true” college experience. If any other sorority had this happen to them they would be doing a similar thing.
