rushing as third year

I’m a third year (not a transfer) and was wondering if it is worth rushing a sorority when my GPA is below average. Is there a chance I could still get a bid by a top house?

Look my neighbor is an advisor here for one of the sororities, so her advice would be "Get your GPA up." It sucks to join a group and then you're on social probation the whole time because your last school was easier.
