is it weird to rush a sorority as a third yr?

Hi everyone! I really would love to rush a sorority but I was wondering if it was really likely that I wouldn't get a bid? Ive met a girl that doesn't really know me but I really like her personality and would really like to try to be her little! Are there any tips that you guys have for me to do so?
