As a student from a town across the country, I wanted to go through recruitment to meet new people and build long lasting friendships. While recruitment was fun and all it did not take long for me to discover what truly occurs behind the scenes of sororities. Joining Alpha Phi at first was super thrilling but as weeks went on us new pledges were isolated and casted out from the members. They made no efforts in getting to know as better and on top of that, girls were primarily in cliques. I was curious to see what happens on the other side of recruitment so i forced myself to stay another year. When I say that APhi truly hosts appearance-based recruitments rather than on holistic review is disgusting. Knowing cannot tolerate the surface-leveled and fakeness interaction sany longer my friends (in the same pledge class) all decided to drop the same quarter. So over them. DO NOT GET FOOLED by the instagram or aesthetics... save your money and do not waste your time on fake people, these things that don't matter after college.

Delta Gamma is the most genuine sorority at UCI. All of the girls are so welcoming, encouraging, and supportive. They have the perfect balance of working hard and having fun. They also care a lot about their chapter and are always striving to do good.
