It depends on what you’re looking for really

Alpha Gam/ADPi if you’re looking for connections/academics/real sisterhood. Standards in ADPi can be super strict tho

Phi Mu/Chi O if you’re looking to party/get your Mrs. degree/get the most likes on insta

AGD and ADPi are the only good ones left on campus after Chi O’s n word bid day scandal... Phi Mu and Chi O are constantly in trouble/in drama and not very well liked on campus. ADPi and Alpha Gam are both pretty chill and full of great girls, preference really just depends on personality - Alpha Gam typically takes more out of state/city girls, more laid back but still super involved and smart, and ADPi is typically more of the Type-A country girls

The best way to know which one is best is during actual recruitement, not in an ANONYMOUS website with one persons opinion, not to mention self-raters etc. They are all pretty nice and have great girls, some just more than others

^ Agreed. Go through recruitment and see who you feel most connected to.

- Phi Mu (top tier even though a lot of them can be mean/snobby)
- Alpha Gam (genuine, cute girls, rep has climbed a ton in the past two years, only group that’s avoided scandals)
- ADPi (a lot of them are kinda stuck up, very religious, took a big group of more awkward girls during past two recruitments, but they can be good for Type A girls)
- Chi O (recently got in trouble for an n-word incident on bid day, socials have slipped a lot recently, they still have some cool girls though even though a handful can be rude/cliquey)

Just go through recruitment and make up your own mind!!

Honestly, I’m not in a sorority but I know girls in all chapters and all of them except for the girls in Phi Mu love their sorority! I’d say consider the other three first, they seem to have a better, more genuine experience

Honestly just go through recruitment and find the best first for you, going in with “ideas” of what the chapters are like isn’t the best idea because it can kind of mess with your recruitment experience. Every sorority at every school is so different! Just go in with an open mind! Every sorority at Mercer is great and I’m sure you’ll find your forever home in one of them!

Hey! Don’t pay attention to any of these “rankings” of the sororities at MU. Seriously. This is just everyone’s personal opinion and most of the people on here are just “ranking” their sorority higher because it’s their sorority and they want it to look better than the others. Honestly it’s super important to go into recruitment with an open mind. I didn’t and then when I went into the houses and talked to the girls I was completely surprised! Every single chapter at Mercer offers something different than the next and they are all great! You can’t go wrong with any of the chapters! Try not to get all caught up in this website and the comments on here. Sororities are so much more than all the petty stuff on here and that’s so important to remember!
