out of place

by: Disappointed

Is it bad at this point I still can't see myself fitting in with my sorority? I've tried going out with them this week but I just never feel excited to be with them or feel comfortable being myself around them.

No it's still super early, I didn't feel at home until moving into the corridor as a sophomore

You know yourself better than anyone. If you're not comfortable around them, don't force yourself. There are plenty of options other than a forced friendship.

Was this sorority your first choice? I think sometimes it takes a little longer when you weren't imaging yourself there. Lots and lots of girls with all different personalites and likes and dislikes in all the sororities. Just give it a chance. Hopefully you will get that feeling. The good news is that if you don't go active, you can give it another go round. But you have time! Be open!

You really have to give it time, it has barely been a week. As soon as you get your Big it will start coming together. Whether it was your first, second or third choice doesn't matter. Ask yourself if you want to give it a try and if the answer is no, then drop. But are you really sure after one week?

I'm not the original poster but I feel this way as well. My sorority was my second choice but I would be really fine with it if I had at least one friend in my pledge class. The majority of my friends went to my first choice. So far, I'm clicking more with actives than with my pledge get class, I'm really hoping that things fall into place soon but just wondering if this is a common feeling?

this is so common. I'm a junior now and I didn't find my best friends until sophomore year.
