(Besides the bottom three) they are all within 10-20 members of each other, this gives ZERO insight into rankings. This is just a stupid way to compare

maybe the insight is that rankings dont really matter that much and people seem to be having good experiences in almost all of the sororities??

Basically this just shows chapter sizes at the beginning of last fall. In a nutshell 1st - 10th place are all pretty even with 200+ members each—so each pledge class has around 60ish girls, which is normal and means their retention levels are good. DZ’s number is so low because so many upperclassmen have dropped, so their retention levels aren’t as good

Real reason why it’s not smart to solely choose a sorority based on rank! It’s fine to care a little but what’s the point in initiating if a ton of the girls in your pc drop due to internal issues??

The given numbers are not indicative of retention rates (but math majors and actual greek members already knew that).

A list of retention rates would list each home's number bid at the beginning of a pledge term VS number initiated by each home at end of same pledge term. For example: During one semester Eta Chapter may pledge sixty women and initiate fifty, and Tau Chapter may pledge fifty women and initiate all fifty. Tau chapter therefore had a 100% retention rate while Eta only had 83%. But more importantly, both have fifty members.

Repeating: the numbers of the OP only show the TOTAL MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS, NOT THE RETENTION RATE.
