Srat similarities
by: Elsa
From a previous thread, one of the few to make any sense and not based on ranks:
You only have 12 sororities (soon to be 13 with DG- but not going to add them yet)
So let’s get practical and do 3 rows of 4 - not based on anyone being better than anyone because that would be a little too High School… and this is college. 3 rows based on groups that seem similar IMO, no order within group.
Live & breathe srat and greek life, letters mean everything, many already now each other from HS, seen on campus, mostly southern, dress to impress:
ADPI, DDD, KD, APHI
Enjoy being in their srat, also have friends in other srats or no srats, very chill, laid back, more diverse, from all over United States, seen downtown, keep up with trends:
KKG, ZTA, XO, AXO
Enjoy their srat as well as hanging out with others. Fun and smart. Seen on campus and downtown. Inclusive. Cool to hang with and very approachable. Do not underestimate them. Very strong sisterhoods: DZ, PIPHI, GPHI, SK

Like ranks, this assessment is worthless. First of all, in no way is APhi Southern. Most of their members are from the North and out of state. Secondly there are all types of people in every sorority. There are people who party, people who "live for their sorority" (often the officers), people who are into service, trendy people, studious people, and more down-to-earth people in every group. PNMs would do themselves a service to keep an open mind going into recruitment and pick up on the subtle interpersonal cues which would indicate where they would fit best. Stereotypes don't do a good job in comparison.
