rushing next year

not anymore..Furman is so small that things change quickly, and it's based on every pledge class and so called "rankings" change every year. Don't base your opinion on what you've heard..reputations are old and outdated. Other than KKG, top tier is up for grabs. Go in with an open mind and truly find the girls that you most relate to. Trust me, you'll be sorry if you listen to the old stereotypes.

Get to know girls from each house. Go to their events and see where you think you will feel at home. Being in a house is about finding life long friends and having an opportunity for leadership and fun. Be yourself, then you'll land in the right house and be happy for four years.

Here's the thing about sorority reputations, the only people who care about them are freshmen before they rush and people who see themselves as "top tier" who want to keep perpetuating their dominance. Honestly, don't let a sororities "tier" define your interest in them. You should be in it for the sisterhood, not the reputation.

adpi kd are considered top then chi o and dg after that are tri delt and kkg. honestly none of the sororities are bad. each one is different and it depends on what you're looking for. I went into rush being myself, didn't get dropped from any sorority then ended up choosing one of the middle tier ones because i connected with those girls the best. I know some people go into it wanting to be in a specific sorority, which is fine, but I'd really recommend going into it with no expectations and choosing the sorority based on who you get along with the best. Most of my friends are NOT in my sorority but when I've gotten into bad situations my sister are always the first to bail me out. remember, you're choosing sisters not a certain friend group that you have to stick with for the next 4 years. do what feels right for you regardless of the sororities social status

kind of acurate..let's all stop pretending that ADPI is on top..it definitely has fallen hard the past few years..KD is still top tier with chio, DG and ADPI all middle and about the same.. ADPI will be complete bottom tier in 2 years if they dont' clean up their act and learn some class.

Seriously? People really need to stop pretending DG is anything but bottom tier. If you switch Tri Delt and DG here, then your comment is about accurate.
