How are legacies seen at Baylor? Both my friend and I are legacies at Kappa but not from like big greek life schools? Do they look at that? Will it help me or at least put me on Kappas radar? My friend doesn’t really have a preference but I love Kappa. Curious how legacy is seen for the rest too. My sister was a Chi O

Legacies don't matter much anymore. I've seen legacies get cut plenty of times.

Legacies don’t mean much at Baylor or at the national sorority level. 20 years ago, it would get you in.. Now it won’t and we don’t even really look at who is or isn’t. We just want the right girls who fit in at our house.

Legacy status matters more if your connection is a Baylor alum and has remained active (financially and/or time wise) as an alum. This happens more often with the really established chapters here. But even with that it’s not an absolute guarantee.

If your mom was a Kappa at Whatever U and has mostly forgotten about it - then it doesn’t really matter.
