Can you get blacklisted for partying just once? And how do you who is who since the freshmen just moved in? I'd sure hate for someone to think that it was me passed out when it was really another girl with my name or looked like me, etc.

Sororities have a system, it's not bullet proof, but it works.
I know a lot of people that partied or at least went to welcome week and still got bids to the good sororities.
It really depends on how much they like you. If they really want you, the sorority will turn a head to some of your actions, but no one is truelly safe and guaranteed a spot. It happens every year that freshmen girls think they are unstoppable because they know blah and blah and is from ...
Partying hard will get you no where
Partying lite (drinking water and alcohol) will get you to most houses
Keep in mind some sororities also want to see you in social situations, they don't want a prune.

the girls in sororities who are out to blacklist you are ridiculous and clearly cannot have fun themselves at parties. a lot of sororities are known for blacklisting and a lot are not. just go have fun and meet people and try to avoid forming a bad reputation about yourself. i'm not promising that you can go out and still get a bid, but i know a ton of girls who have. but i am truly sorry if an older girl is ever RUDE to you for being out if you are not causing any problems.
