is rush all based on resume and instagram profiles???
by: pnmi hate hearing that the majority of the houses will cut me round one based on my instagram and my resume. even if i have a great convo with one of the girls, it doesn't matter unless i have a great instagram and a star resume?? seems so unfair and makes me not want to rush. i want sororities to choose me for me, not for what i seem like on paper/the internet

It’s just extra info. Schools like UF and Tennessee make their first massive cuts via a freaking submitted video tape, so consider yourself lucky. There are so many great girls going through Rush. Just getting into FSU, you have to be spectacular. It’s great to have additional insight. I know plenty of girls who didn’t have a strong social media presence but got the house they wanted. Bring your A game to Rush tho!

i was worried about this when i rushed, but only a few sororities do that. and do you really want to be in a sorority that chooses based on instagrams? I know i would much rather be in one where i was chosen based on my personality and connections i made with the girls. i’m now in a house where i feel welcomed and i’m with girls who i want to actually be friends with rather than a sorority based on superficial things.
