I'm from Tuscaloosa and well obviously pledging at UA is hell. Is it nearly as bad here?? Just for top houses? What's the deal?

Attended both schools. Currently in a frat at FSU and bama is much worse

bama has the best greek system so their pledgeship is brutal. thats why their greek system blows most out of the water

IU does have a super competitive but strong greek life. It's probably the most intense in the Midwest because seniors live in and they use the bed quota system. 25 percent of girls don't even get bids

Rush quotas aren't what define the strength of the Greek system, just the competitiveness. That aside, IU doesn't have the tradition or power of a Greek system like Bama's, and it doesn't have the applicant strength of a more academic school.
