wtf has greek life become

Can I honestly say I am SO GLAD I am graduating next year, after pc 17 gets through greek life is going to be bleh. Here’s a few reasons why...

1) frats keep dropping - honestly in 5 years how many frats will there be? 6 good ones that people can have a good time at? The more frats that keep getting kicked off the worse for Panhellenic women because we get our asses chewed out for going to your under the table events if we get caught there

2) Homecoming will suck because sororities will have to be getting paired with each other. Yes I know “pan love is a thing” But this doesn’t motivate anyone to go to pomping anymore. You always hear stories about “oh yeah I met my bf/husband through pomping” well this can’t happen anymore if we’re paired with girls

3) ranks have gotten all wonky because of the kicked off frats not being considered anymore and frats are fighting over the spots - seriously? Do you want to be considered top tier because everyone else was kicked off?

4) tailgates suck because you have to wait to get banded in long lines and then pots is a nightmare if you wanna see your friend in a kicked off frat

5) I remember freshman year I used to go to SO many HH pregames and HH postgames. Those were the BEST and where did they go :( - and the Halloween parties! Those were the best and HERITAGE wtf... I used to beep bop all over heritage because it was convenient and saved me so much time and Uber’s on Saturdays and Fridays ... now heritage is just...ugh

6) socials with one frat and one sorority (so fun) are basically done because the tiers have to match up perfectly to get anyone to go (speaking from someone in a top srat it’s even hard for us to find a frat that just wants to mingle with us) - these used to be so much fun :(

Look at the vintage old row noles pictures... looking at those makes me so sad because you can tell they’re having the best time and even though functions and formals are fun now... you could just tell it was a different vibe

Honestly to everyone rushing - consider the time and financial commitment because it’s not as great as it used to be ...

Yes greek life is still a great thing but you have to consider all the pros and cons
