It’s not necessarily a bad thing. It just depends what’s ur going for when u rush. Pike is very intense when it comes to maintaining their reputation. That being said, there’s not a lot of room for having a wild time, with FSU frats already having a target on their back, pike can’t afford to wild out with the amount of eyes on them. Also the way they operate is very business like, as in the exec board is like a companies board of directors making sure they are making “profit” as a frat so to speak, for instance that their campus involvement is high enough to keep up the reputation, making sure they hit a quota for certain number of student athletes in each pc et cetera. Now that frats can’t get away with as much, and putting all this work in to look good pike has to compromise somewhere , and that comes out of the social life and brotherhood. That’s what people mean when they say it’s business like , and not like a fraternity . If you wanna make great connections for later in life, Pike’s definitely an amazing choice , but bear in mind, at a school that’s had such a big Greek system for decades like FSU, any good frat you go to , if you put in a little work you can make those same connections you would in pike. It’s just more earned rather than given. If you want to go somewhere to make close bonds with all of your brothers for the rest of your life and have a damn good time doing it , I’d maybe recommend going somewhere other pike. To recap - it’s all about what you want out of your four years. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

In other words - Pike’s will get into fights with other Pikes at bars without even knowing they’re in the same frat and this happens more often that a few times lmao.

My dad was a Sigma Chi at FSU in the early nineties. He is still close with a lot of his fraternity brothers today. According to him, it was one of the best times of his life. My point is go where you want, Pike or wherever else that you feel a bond with.

Puke it s not a corporation. Their culture is extremely focused and well organized. Brotherhood is based on pride in the fraternity and they have huge alumni support. Interesting that Theta Chi also has a large and very active alumni base. In fact those two fraternities probably Lead everyone in numbers of alumni support. I like both fraternities but they are pretty different.
