It’s not even a Greek rule though it’s for all student organizations so it applies to everyone

The mid-tier frats are wayyyy below the league of some of sororities they might pair with. Like way below, would basically be like a head cheerleader going out with someone from the chess club

Sororities are different than frats. We aren’t ranked to be put in an organization based on looks. We rush where we want to go based on the guys you can see yourself being friends with, or being a legacy of a frat. Sororities aren’t like that, you don’t get to choose. So being in a mid tier frat isn’t the same as being in a mid tier sorority. Mid tier sorority girls weren’t good enough for a top tier spot, but mid tier frat guys could still be good enough for top tier if they rushed them. It’s not the same

so it seems the weirdos have united lol, it’s called mutual selection, you still have a choice. u guys get dropped from houses too. I guarantee you if a beta tried to rush pike, THEY WOULD BE DROPPED. so don’t think YOURE special because your rush process is different;) oh and stop bullying sorority girls because they’re out of your league.

So let’s say that a guy who has potential to be a pike coming in to college rushes Beta because he’s a legacy. Does that mean he’s a weirdo for going somewhere his dad went ? No. But under your analogy, if he’s a Beta it means he couldn’t go anywhere better and that’s not true for frats. There’s guys in ATO, Theta chi, Sig Ep, and KA that could have gotten a bid from Pike if they rushed them. I know guys who didn’t ever consider Pike simply because of the harsh hazing they do. Most guys in Middle tier frats are above girls in middle tier sororities. And sometimes there’s guys in mid tier that are above girls in top tier.

In theory, y’all aren’t wrong. You make good points. But in reality, that just isn’t the case here. I’m all for the ifc support, but you said it yourself, there’s a little over 400 top tier guys. There’s around 1000 top/upper tier girls, and around 1000 mid tier girls. The ratios play out to where the guys will not be on the same level as the girls. Sure, these “mid tier” frats have some decent guys, but tbh, they’re only mid tier now by default of so many getting kicked off. How people feel about your frat is obviously going to be different from your own opinion.
