time to move on
by: EndgameSeems like all decent fraternities are about to be suspended for allegations that “mostly” aren’t true. Maybe it’s time for us to move on from an organization that does not benefit the fraternity system in any way besides new member recruitment. IFC has been nothing but a hindrance to progress of fraternity life, so it’s time to move on. Whether the next thing we do is form our own version of IFC or continue without any organization, no matter what we do, all the fraternities need to stick together, because this has happened before at other schools, and we have the potential to turn around Greek life and make it great again.

No "active" chapter owns its own house. Of the few frats that do own their own houses, the property is actually owned by the national fraternity and/or a large alumni association.
Sorry to break it to you, but when you're just a bunch of 19 and 20 year old azz clowns you are always going to be under someone's thumb. Just the messenger.
