am i lame for not having experience

I’m going to be in the class of 2024 but I am scared I will be lame to many people. I want to have fun in college but I have never smoked or drank alcohol since I am kinda a loner. Will I be judged by everyone?

I know many people who rarely drank or smoked in high school but can't get enough of it as soon as they get to FSU. The loner part might make things difficult. Start meeting people and don't show that you're nervous.

I've found that the people that go the craziest in college are the ones that were sheltered in high school. They dont know how to handle it so they kind of freak out when they're on their own for the first time

You’re not lame for “not having an experience”. If you don’t drink or smoke that’s okay. College gives you the chance to branch out and reinvent yourself. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and find new friends. Best of luck to you

Truth is that many guys in the relevant fraternities here have been doing that stuff long before coming to college. They were also usually the popular ones and extroverted/charismatic. And pretty much all played a sport. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, but generally, it is rare for someone of your profile to get a bid at a good fraternity (especially if you don’t know people in Greek Life here already).

Except their social status would increase even more as a result of joining a relevant fraternity. So guess you could say “peaked in college”? Most people would say that’s not a bad place to peak...
