sae and sig ep dry houses 2020
by: TruthGuys going into rush should know that both SAE and Sig Ep are dry houses in 2020 and aren’t allowed to have any events at their houses with alcohol including tailgates. Not even allowed alcohol in their rooms. And if they tell you that nationals and IFC won’t strictly enforce this, they’re lying. The whole point for them going dry is to reduce insurance costs and their execs were told this is not negotiable. It sucks for them but it’s the truth

Not in any of those fraternities including Sigma pi, but the comment from you suck is lying. They can’t have alcohol starting 2020. They might have tailgates this year, but they can’t as of 2020. Completely dry houses starting fall 2020. That means kids who join SAE or Sig ep this year being told it’s no big deal will be out of luck in 2020. Who wants to join a fraternity with that as your future. If you don’t like to drink or party that’s great, join SAE or Sig ep.

This is truth.
SAE national is going substance free in 2020 because of insurance concerns.
SigEp National is already entirely substance free no exceptions because they’ve decided to be that kind of fraternity.
Phi Delt, like SPE has been substance free nationally for a long time. They enforce it. Phi delta here ignored it. When they got in trouble their national pulled them.
My fraternity like most all other fraternities has the option of being substance free in 2020 or paying an additional insurance fee and being able to have beer in the house. We will do that and I guess others will too.
I have no idea what Signa Pi policy is nationally.
I do know that SPE is all in for NO alcohol or tobacco if any kind in their house. That’s who they want to be. SAE will enforce the same policy on their chapters whether that’s what they want to be or not.

SAE and sig ep can’t have any alcohol in their house. Not in their rooms, not in the common areas. They are completely dry houses as of 2020. Tailgates and parties all have to be off site if they want to have alcohol. Their nationals aren’t going to look the other way and let members drink in house because that’s insurance fraud. The whole decision is based on money and when it comes to money the no alcohol policy will be strictly enforced.
