This is coming from a guy, but if any girl or person had the actual audacity to say that to you right off the bat then they do not really deserve you. Just saying, you're probably a wonderful person so I would not take what she said to heart. There are so many more options out there, even if your sister was in that sorority.

Don’t worry about it. There are always girls who take jabs at houses rated higher. Just read through this site and you will see the top rated houses get hated on frequently.

I’m not sure what Panhellenic does to stop sororities that purposefully try to bash others.. I had this happen to me when I went through at adpi.. Rho gams are there to help so if you ever have a convo like that you need to report it. Hope the rest of your rush goes better! :)

OK this is just awful that someone would say that about another chapter! EVERY chapter has rules!!! Someone is obviously jealous and mad that they were dropped from that sorority. Report this to your Rho Gam. Even if it is her chapter, she's disaffiliated and will do the right thing. Rumors like this are always false.

Report this to your Rho gam!!! That is so wrong for them to say to you. And against the rules. Even if your Rho gam is in that chapter she will agree that is wrong. Remember, she is cross affiliated and there to give you the best experience possible! Tell her!

When I went through rush, mid and bottom tier sororities would always pull that kind of stuff. "You will be judged constantly and have to look nice and wear makeup" or "You won't make real connections in a top house" it's all BS. It's their fear tactics.
