why did phi kappa tau get suspended?

i’m pledging this upcoming semester. What’s the deal with phi kappa tau? why did they get suspended? What are the vibes with them?

Don't know if its true. I heard some pledge got his hand cut doing a stunt at a party. Had to go to the hospital and the chapter covered it up. That doesn't sound like much reason to get suspended, but the university was/is out to screw fraternities for any reason.

A Phi Tau pledge injured himself while he was doing some construction work, cutting plywood if I remember correctly. Cut his hand with a buzz saw pretty badly. No his hand didn’t get cut off but I think he might have lost the function of or the entirety of a finger. It wasn’t hazing and it wasn’t a stunt the kid got injured using a power tool. After that they were under investigation and indefinitely suspended but not technically in trouble. However, they went ahead and threw their Snowasis party basically in defiance of FSU/IFC so now they’re actually suspended.
