top tier girls
by: HonestJust read a post about top tier girls being the popular snooty girls in high school. This is so not true at UARK. There are some girls that were popular in high school but I think they may actually be in the minority. Look at phi mu for example. If you go here than you know they have their fair share of girls who use to be the popular mean girls in high school. I think kappa, chi o, an pi phi have ALOT of girls that were NOT popular in high school. Girls that because of being a legacy or having connections ended up in one of those houses. I think zeta have their fare share of pretty girls that may have been popular in high school but all the ones I have met have been very friendly without the “ top tier” attitude. It’s luck that lands you in a top tier house at uark. Luck that your a legacy an get an automatic invite back to second round. By far the largest cut with the top five houses happens night one. Luck that you have a cousin, best friend, sisters friend Ect... in a top house. Luck that you may have been a popular girl in high school with no enemies in a top house. Let’s face it, if you were popular and not nice to an active in the house or an actives little sister ( or for that matter they disliked you out of jealousy) your getting cut. Luck that your mom knows a women with an in house daughter that can help you out. So to the top tier girls...please drop the attitude. There are plenty of 4.0 , pretty girls with wonderful resumes in other houses. You just happened to get lucky.

I would have gone a top house except I had no connections. I had a 3.0 gpa and was active in choir and my church youth group. Old Navy is my favorite store. I work full time since I’m on scholarship so I can’t be at all the functions. And I do my own brows and nails! So, I really do consider myself a top house girl except for those connections. How rude of them not to take me!

Luck doesn’t teach you how to coordinate a cute outfit out of a pleadge week T-shirt.
Luck doesn’t have anything to do with your social media presence when you were in high school.
Luck doesn’t have anything to do with maintaining a 3.5 or higher gpa
Luck doesn’t have anything to do with your ability to sit on a couch with an active at your feet and hold a coherent conversation
Luck doesn’t have anything to do with the hours of volunteering, leadership or sports/band involvement in high school
While many houses are rumored to cut at 3.4 and below, having an impressive resume when you come through is important.
