JMU isn’t a big Greek life school like some other southern ones. Listing your activities is more of a way for sororities to match you with their girls that they think will have stuff in common with you so that you guys will have better conversations throughout recruitment. Volunteering doesn’t hurt bc these organizations are for philanthropy (or supposed to be lol). There aren’t too many requirements, it’s mostly about your personality and (sadly) your looks. If you have a lot of good conversations in different houses, your chances are better of being called back to multiple.

Having good social skills and being able to carry a good conversation is honestly the most important part, looks and gpa are main aspects as well

Hold a good conversation, that will make them remember you.
Be 100% you, you have to get over the nerves and just be the best version of you (act like you’re talking to your best friends).
Dress your style( hate to say it but your appearance matters! You only have a short time talking during the first few rounds so you need to make the best impression overall!).
Don’t worry about rankings, so many girls worry about that and then end up in a sorority that doesn’t fit them as a person!
