sorority rushing
by: Jmu sophomoreI will be a sophomore rushing with a 2.5 GPA and I’m a nursing major. My GPA is low because of my Anatomy class but I’m retaking it. I was wondering do I even have a chance with any of the sorority houses???

Your gpa is gonna hurt you a ton, expect only a few sororities to invite you back to the second round because a lot will drop you as a risk before you even come in the door, but don’t let that discourage you-go through the process and you never know if you could end up with a snap bid or could go through informal in the spring semester and know which houses you already felt comfortable with

Highest you can come up from a 2.5 in 1 semester is .5 added to your gpa and that's only if you're getting As in all your classes....and original poster is a nursing major who's retaking anatomy so that's a bit of a stretch for them lol

Don’t listen to the comments above. There are many sororities that will take a 2.5, it will just be a disadvantage to you. You’ll regret it if you dont rush cause you won’t know what could have been

All the sororities that typically do informal require high gpa though
