Someone would push for tighter values-based criteria - structured conversations, consistent evaluation rubrics, documented reasoning for cuts - and at least two chapter presidents would roll their eyes like we'd just proposed banning bid day entirely. Before I joined a fraternity, I tailgated exactly twice in college - once for a homecoming game I barely cared about, and once because my roommate dragged me out at 9am on a Saturday.
