Comment:  This is probably going to be the most relevant/truthful perspective of Fiji in the present (opinion from a PNM in the fall). Fiji is a huge national fraternity and extremely popular and successful at many schools across the nation. That being said, Fiji at Cornell is an... interesting story. In the 80's throughout the 2000's they were a popular and upper tier house. Some of the stories of old Fiji sound like legends and myths, like dusting off a forgotten treasured relic of the past. Then, in 2016 or later (idrk), they were kicked off campus for doing something, I didn't do research. They came back in 2022 and in 2026 the current state of Fiji is... ok. The house is struggling to rise back to it's past reputation (a high bar to reach). There have been other houses that were kicked off and came back, and Fiji is probably the house that is struggling the most, for whatever reason. To my knowledge, they do minimal mixing with other sororities, and fraternities, and they can't get along with their neighbors. They have the legacy and ability to mix and do stuff with other sororities + fraternities but they've just been slacking. That being said, the current brotherhood is pretty good in all honesty. The younger pc's are a bit on the academic/keep to themselves side while the older pc's are more "fratty" and social, but the one thing they have in common is that they're all close to each other, and they're fun to hang out with. Since the brotherhood is like 30-40 guys, the whole house feels like a big family. These guys are chill, fun, and comfortable to be around. Sure, if you're a social climber, prestige oriented, or got a few screws loose in your head (the wrong way), you'd probably spam bouse, but if you're a future PNM looking to get into greek life, improve your social life, and find a close community, Fiji is a solid choice. And for all it's worth, Fiji has incredible potential to rise back to the top, the house is fire, the alumni base is wide and strong, the party space is massive, and it's national reputation is well known. All it takes is a few good rush chairs and pc's to be well on it's way upward. Hope this review helps PNM's interested in this house.
