Comment:  I always hear ladies say we wit the NUPES now!!! Kappa Alpha Psi was founded on January 5, 1911, at Indiana University by ten African-American students who faced a hostile environment and limited opportunities on campus. Initially named Kappa Alpha Nu, it was the first fraternity founded on the principle of achievement and the first Black fraternity incorporated as a national body in 1911. The name was changed to Kappa Alpha Psi in 1915 to become a full Greek-letter fraternity.
