Comment:  My daughter rushed this sorority this Fall and it was her top choice. She felt an instant connection with all the girls and was very much into the community involvement and connections that she was told made this sisterhood so special. Unfortunately she had a commitment to her family and to her families 3rd generational farm and had to miss the Saturday of rush to come home and show her steer. This should’ve shown you that she was being loyal to family, following through with a commitment and gave her an opportunity to make money to pay for her college tuition. The disturbing thing is that your sorority didn’t feel that this commitment to her family and community was important because the next day you did not give her a bid. Her entire experience at ISU has been horrible since that day. She would’ve flourished in your sorority and unfortunately you missed out. She ran an entire blood drive at her High School, was president of the student council, involved in every sport and was focused in strengthening community relations. I just want to say this was a huge loss both for you and her. Unfortunately it can’t be undone, but next time you share your views about what your sorority entails, you may want to rethink the words commitment, integrity and values, because that was the reason you let her go!
