I lived in the house when I was at LSU. I assume you’re talking about the main staircase right inside the front doors. Those are the “formal stairs” and we just don’t use them because they wanted to keep the carpet nice and didn’t want girls running up and down them 24/7. There are two other staircases in the house that are used to get upstairs. The formal stairs were used during events (ie. Bid day, initiation, parents weekend, recruitment, etc.)
