And you think you will get great information from this site? Like there's no performative superficiality on here? You don't comprehend that anyone in the world with internet access can post ANYTHING on here? Don't be so naive. Listen, PNM, you don't even know who I am, but here's the deal you need to know: - Sororities will have already decided who they are releasing before you even set foot on campus. Your ranks at orientation will not mean anything. Sooooo... - You need to wait and see who you get back for Philanthropy and focus on the houses you will actually be rushing. The personalities in these houses as well as the overall house vibe will be apparent to you. - Rush is the time to go with your gut feeling! This can't be emphasized enough. Meet members and make personal connections and rank based on your personal experiences and only YOUR personal experiences. - If you like certain sororities at Sisterhood you need to let them know because they have no idea what you think unless you tell them. The sororities don't ever see your ranks of them. - When you get to pref, pay attention at the other PNM's who are there with you at wherever you go. Many of these will be your new member class and they will make or break your entire sorority experience, not so much the older members who are rushing you. Do you fit with these other PNM's? - This is YOUR rush and YOUR experience alone. If you listen to anybody else you will have a bad rush. - There are around 300 members in each chapter. There IS every type in every house and all you need are a HANDFUL of close friends. You can find this friend group in any house and if you don't then you need to evaluate your own self. - GET OFF THIS SITE and trust your own damn opinions, this isn't high school.
