I don't know how many times we've stressed on this page that formal recruitment is your best shot to get into a house. In fact, we've told numerous girls that waiting until sophomore year to do formal rush as opposed to Spring COB is a better option. We told you that no house is obligated to COB. We told you that most houses would fill the spots with friends of girls already in the house. We told you that most houses don't even hold public COB events. We told you that houses would lie about not COBing which, as you all know, many did. I don't know on what planet you think you'd have a better shot getting one of five bids when a hundred girls are trying for them as opposed to rushing all fifteen houses and having your shot of making one of their bid lists, each house taking about 90-100 girls. That doesn't make any sense to me. You can down vote and be bitter and sad that you didn't get one of the five bids that a hundred girls were trying for. Or you can learn from this and keep your grades up so you can rush again in the fall.
