Several reasons. 1. GPhi didn't run around this website trying to tier jump, claiming they were smarter than bottom tier houses like APhi did only to have those claims refuted by a grade report 2. GPhi has never been popular for having good grades, they've been popular for other reasons. One of the reasons APhi was considered middle tier and not bottom because they consistently outdid bottom tier houses in grades and that's not the case anymore 3. When an average house falters in more than one area, the culmination of those things bring a house down. Grades didn't destroy Alpha Phi but they were the nail in the coffin.
