"Snap bidding: An option available to chapters that did not fill quota. Chapters may offer bids to potential new members whose preferences were not matched, meaning they would not be extended a bid by chapters they listed on their preference rankings after preference round." Snap bids are given out the morning of bid day before everyone returns to the sorority house for bid day activities. They're extended to women that the house liked but may have dropped in the event that the house didn't get enough girls on their bid list. If you receive a snap bid, nobody will know you weren't on the original bid list and there's nothing shameful about receiving or accepting a snap bid!
