I'm sure you look great in things other than what you are comfortable in. This isn't about how you look, it's about how you think you look. There is a bigger issue here that it would be helpful for you to try to address sooner than later! In the mean time, yes, you need to find some other things to wear. Find a real life friend or relative to help you. If they won't, see if you can find a friendly salesperson at a store. Check pinterest, tumblr, whatever. But don't look like you don't care!! Also, every sorority is going to have formal chapter meetings throughout the semester where you will be required to wear appropriate clothing. Dresses, skirts, business pants, things that would be acceptable at church. You'll also have to wear formal clothing for ritual events, and next year you would have to wear the identical outfits the sorority women wear during recruitment. If you literally are incapable of wearing anything but nike shorts, I agree with the above poster who suggested sorority life might not be for you.
