They are actually able to recolonize soon. They can't sell their house because it's their Alpha chapter, so it's seen as a historical landmark kind of thing. That's also why they have so much land. Currently it is being treated as an apartment complex for men who were in the chapter. They don't want to risk anything happening to the house until recolonization.
