Let's be honest here. There was a big change last year as a certain house or two wanted to change their 'image' and some of the sporadic recruiting of the past few years took it's toll. Some of those 'pretty' girls with 'substance' 'good grades' and 'leadership positions' went to other houses. IF new member gpa's were posted for the entire year, it would be apparent that some houses pulled their typical type but more of those girls carried stellar resumes. Obviously, that would not be apparent just yet in 'whole house' gpa's. So basically, the bottom line is-and this is important-GO WITH THE HOUSE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH. There will be popular, smart girls in every house. Some of the houses people considered 'popular' without the grades proved to end up quite differently with the fall pledge class. There are still the couple houses that take leftover pretty or decent girls that don't have the personality or grades, and until they decide on the type of girl they want to recruit, they will remain at the bottom of the barrel with grades. But that might be the house for you-go where you feel comfortable.
