Hey PNM's! 2nd semester is about to start and pre-rush tactics are about to kick into high gear. Some thing you need to know that I wish I was told! 1. Be careful about what you post/comment in the Bama 2020 group because there are hundreds of actives in that group. 2. Keep your social media clean (no cans, no bottles, no middle fingers) 3. Some girls have said that they think it's creepy when pnms add/follow them. Personally, when a pnm adds or follows me and they're really cute it turns out to be a good thing because I didn't know who you were until that point, and now i'm definitely going to put you on my sorority's radar. 4. Actives love comments and likes on their pictures... but don't be overwhelming or weird. 5. This year there is no Preview, only spring teas. Go to spring teas. If you absolutely can't, email the rush chairs (uapanhellenic.com) if you receive invitations. These parties give you up to 2+ hours at each house to talk to a bunch of girls, and make a first impression for rush. April 1-3. 6. Fill out the information sheet on uapanhellenic.com so sororities have your contact information to send you cards, spring tea invites, and so they know who you are. 7. RECS. A lot of girls will tell you that recs aren't necessary. Some girls have all 32 recs and don't get the house they wanted. Some girls go in with maybe 1 or 2 and land a top house it happens. The safest way to rush is to get as many as you can from women who can speak positively about you.
