I think you're in denial that this isn't a problem. I was giving examples. The point I'm making is that sororities don't want to support other sororities philanthropies, because it might "hurt" their image. It's not limited to New Row/Old Row, as I've seen it among New Row sororities, too. My New Row sorority NEVER went to other New Row sorority's events, and I NEVER saw girls from other sororities visit ours, either. I have friends in Old Row sororities, and they never went to others' either. It's disappointing, because people worry more about their image than a philanthropic event or charity function. We have a large Greek system which could make a difference, but people put more weight into their social climbing endeavors than to realize the bigger picture. Can you imagine how much money could be raised if everyone chipped in on forming a communal effort? It would probably improve 'Bama's reputation in the public eye, as well.
