Here's my advice, DG. First, welcome to Alabama. We're happy you're here. Hold off on affiliating right away. Let the chapter know you're on campus. They'll probably invite you to dinner. Tour the house. Meet and get to know some of the girls. If you feel at home, full steam ahead on affiliating! If you don't, you don't HAVE to affiliate. You can retain your alumnae status. If you DO affiliate and don't like it, your only recourse would be to resign. DG does not have an inactive status and 5th year senior status is exactly that - you have to be an undergraduate in your fifth year of undergraduate studies. If I were you, I'd go slow at first.
