If you think other universities don't have "The Machine" or something like it, you're wrong. They're basically political parties. And the Machine had nothing to do with "Jim Crow days" (if you even understand what that means) except for the issue of blacks in sororities. Oddly enough, they didn't even apply that to fraternities. Many fraternities had admitted blacks in the past with no consequence. The Machine is about political control...which means control of the money that SGA handles.
