Getting cross cut is something you don't have to worry about because we have preventative measures against it, but basically it's when the order of the chapters on a PNM's pref list and the placement of the PNM on the house's bid lists are in such a way that she is too low on the lists to receive a bid from any of the houses she preffed. Here, if you attend pref (and you don't suicide, or skip a party), you are guaranteed a bid thanks to quota additions.
