Knowing sorority members and having positive interactions with them may not be enough. Do you have friends in any houses that would go to bat for you? Prior reputation does matter, but I’m confused about your social media comment. I would think standing up against would be a good thing. Why are you worried about it? Sororities want members who have good grades and are active on campus. Have you joined any campus orgs? You need to get the word out to girls you know in sororities that you want to find a sisterhood and will be rushing in the fall. Try to get to know the girls you are already acquainted with better, so they might be willing to pull for you.
