Hi! I’m looking for some honest advice about rerushing. I DONT GO HERE. I GO TO A BIG 10 SCHOOL LOL. I went through formal recruitment last fall and didn’t end up with a bid. At the time, I wasn’t in the best place emotionally, which I think definitely affected how I showed up. I also tried COB this spring but didn’t receive anything. Since then, I’ve grown a lot and feel much more confident in myself, and I’m considering rerushing this fall as a junior. I do know a good amount of girls across different houses and have had positive interactions, but I also know how competitive it can be. One thing I’m a bit concerned about is that there’s some past social media stuff tied to my name involving a situation where I spoke out about being bullied, and there were rumors involved. Because of that, I worry that people may already have preconceived ideas about me before even meeting me in recruitment. My question is: How much does prior reputation actually impact rerushing? Is it ever appropriate to go by a nickname/alias during recruitment, or would that be seen negatively? And overall, is rerushing as a junior realistically worth it in a somewhat competitive school? its a big 10 school rip but i know yall have competition here too lol. I’m genuinely coming from a place of growth and just want a fair chance to be seen for who I am now. I’d really appreciate any honest advice.
