I'll give you a little advice on how things go during recruitment and some suggestions for what I did and how I handled things. I didn't have a killer gpa and that left me really concerned, but I ended up having a really great recruitment. Convocation: first event. You don't need to dress up for this--just nike shorts, a t-shirt, & tennis shoes/chacos/flip-flops. This is where you'll meet your sigma rho chis and get all your t-shirts and schedule for the week. It's held in the coliseum and it can be really overwhelming when you walk in because you see all 2000+ girls that you will be participating in recruitment with, but try not to worry about it because it isn't a competition. Most of the girls who don't end up in sororities drop themselves anyways. Ice Water Tea Days: These are the longest and were definitely the most stressful days to me. You go to half the houses one day and the second half the next for short 25 minute parties. You wear a cute sundress and FLAT SANDALS (it is imperative that you wear the recommended shoes for each day/don't try to be the special snowflake that tries to impress everyone by wearing heels when you don't have to). A lot of girls wear Jack Rogers or Tory Burch Miller sandals these days. At each party you will line up with the girls in your rho chi outside the house and you will file in.
