Just to add on to the other comments - you said you thought you hit it off with your first choice - you did! You made it to pref which means that sorority wanted you as a sister and you would have fit in fine there. But this is where it just becomes a numbers game and, tbh, a little luck. Though they loved you, and your friends would have been pulling for you, there were others that were just ahead of you in the queue. Some might have been higher ranked because of connections, or resume, or really a million other arbitrary reasons. I can tell you that the process of deciding the bid lists is NOT easy because we have so many amazing PNMs to choose from here. So please know not getting your first choice was not personal and enjoy your new membership period with your new sorority. Our "worst" sororities would be at least mid tier or above at other schools - you made it into the system and you will quickly find tiers just do not matter. Have fun!
