Nobody escapes the cuts

After the first round, it feels like a lot of cuts because nobody can return to more than 10 houses for second round so everyone feels a little stung after that one. Plus, houses haven’t even met you in person for 1st round so the cuts are based off of different things for each house and not you personally. There will be a several houses you don’t even get to see in person. Cuts after sisterhood feel very personal because you’ve met a lot of people by that time, have been in the house a couple of times, etc. After that round, everyone is down to 2 houses for preference. Not getting your two top choices after sisterhood round or only getting one house (unless it’s your favorite at that point) is heartbreaking. It happens to a lot of girls. I was a bit shocked after first round- and I had 9 invites but the cuts still felt harsh. I went to Pref at my top two favorite houses so no stress on bid day. I will say, however, my favorite house changed as the week progressed. Keep an open mind. You’ll be fine. Don’t stress about it. All the houses are great at Bama.
