It’s diverse

Poster Message:
AL student body is very diverse. Students of color constitute over 25% of the total student body. The Greek system as a whole is also very diverse. What is never mentioned here is that Alabama has 8 chapters of the 9 historically African American Greek organizations on campus (they are referred to as the Divine 9)- 4 sororities and 4 fraternities. Their recruitment is separate from the Panhell recruitment but just as competitive if not MORE competitive than Bama’s Panhell Fall recruitment. African American girls can decide to rush a Panhell sorority or a Divine 9 sorority. Many prefer the Divine 9 because of legacies, family traditions, connections, etc.
