Don't believe the GR hype. I enjoy partying at Jefferson houses. The guys are nicer and less predatory. Find a house that fits your vibe and ask about their social calendar because it would be a bummer to be part of house that isn't big enough to host New Orleans formals and some of the other stuff. However, I know Jefferson houses sometimes pair up to host stuff too. OR houses throw much bigger parties but their open parties are full of non-Bama students and a lot of drunk, local high school girls. It's annoying. Plus, hazing by OR is insane. I'm surprised nobody has died.
