I think this discussion about finding a house where you will be welcomed and included is sooo important. Too many PNMs get caught up with the ranks. A house that is a good fit for a Birmingham girl may not be a good fit for a Chicago girl. I’m OOR and in what an AL PNM would deem a bottom house but I love my house and it’s full of smart, attractive girls. Most of my friends in my house are OOR and we are from all over the country- WA, CA, TX, IL, MA, FL, AZ, NY, NJ, CT…. I’ve never once felt excluded in my house and I have the sisterhood and social calendar I was promised during recruitment. Honestly, several of the the OR houses were not appealing to me during recruitment. Not everyone wants OR…and that is shocking to AL girls and their moms.
